wow, that was really cool. i forget how quickly things have changed...i don't really remember before the internet, and then i talk to my little cousins about going to barbie.com etc...weird...
You have no idea! My father worked for IBM around the time when they announced that only 5 of their 703's would ever need to be made because it was so powerful that all the world's known problems could be solved by those five. Now I carry a much more powerful computer in my pocket just to make phone calls!
I joined IBM the same year that the first IBM PC was manufactured. One of my buddies at work bought the first IBM PC with a hard disk - which held all 10 MB.
What will my daughters see in their lifetimes?
